Zebra is the debut album by the American hard rock band Zebra, released in 1983, eight years after they were founded. The album features all original material, with the exception of Slow Down a Larry Williams tune best remembered for a 1964 cover version by the Beatles injected at mid-song with much of the second stanza of Carl Perkins' Blue Suede Shoes, altered at its end. Hard rock band Zebra, known for their legendary live shows, released the album Live in 1990. The recordings are taken from various shows they performed on Long Island in November 1989. It features six songs from their debut album, two songs from No Tellin' Lies, three from 3. V, and a single Led Zeppelin cover a practice they are well known for. All songs written by Randy Jackson, except where indicated. As I Said Before - 3:32 Original version found on Zebra. Zebra is the eighth studio album by the electronica Swiss band Yello. It features Randy Jackson guitar and vocals, Felix Hanemann bass, keyboards and vocals and Guy Gelso drums and vocals. In the early 1970s, Jackson and Hanemann played together in a group called Shepherd's Bush, but in 1974 left Shepherd's Bush and founded a new band with Gelso on drums. The group initially was a cover band, playing Led Zeppelin and other technically proficient rock groups such as Yes, Jethro Tull, and Pink. Zebra Live - Zebra. The Long Island via New Orleans, trio Zebra broke from the gate with their eponymous first release, a record that was, at the time, one of Atlantic Records' fastest-selling debuts ever. Tapping into the vacuum left by Led Zeppelin's breakup, lead singer Randy Jackson and company gave the masses a good, healthy dose of Zeppelin-like hard rock. True, they are a pale imitation of their icons, but they pack enough requisite crunch into the album's nine tracks to make Zebra an enjoyable listen.
