Rapid Transit - The Robbs 1967. Upbeat single from the spring of 1968. Has a punchy horn section, which really drives the beat. Mostly popular only in the upper Midwest. This was one Robbs' lone album, from 1967, was compiled from the A-side and B-sides of their 1966 and 1967 singles, along with two new tracks. This self-titled LP made the Billboard 200 chart for one week in January 1968, peaking at No. 200, and the band was shortly thereafter dropped by Mercury Records. Upon signing to Atlantic in 1968, The Robbs pursued a more country rock orientation. After their two Atlantic singles missed even the bubbling under charts, Atlantic let the band go, and they were picked up by ABCDunhill in 1969. I Don't Want To Discuss It. Columbus, Ohio Madison, Wisconsin Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Changin' Winds. The Robbs were 3 brothers from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Oldest David Donaldson aka Dee Robb on guitar & vocals, George Donaldson aka Joe Robb also on guitar & vocals, and youngest Robert Donaldson aka Bruce Robb on keyboards & vocals. They had a number of drummers until enlisting Craig Krampf aka Craig Robb who was assumed to be but wasn't their cousin. The band only recorded one album under the Robbs name. For all their efforts, none of their releases ever cracked the national charts top 100. Don't Want To Discuss It - Brian Hyland.
