Repercussion is the second studio album by American power pop band the dB's, released in 1982 by Albion Records. Like its predecessor, Stands for Decibels, the album was commercially unsuccessful but critically acclaimed. This was the band's final album with the original lineup, as Chris Stamey left in early April 1982. Stamey and Peter Holsapple, the band's dual singersguitarists, each ended up contributing six songs on the album. As was the case on their debut, Stamey's songs veered towards more. UMG от лица компании EMI CMRRA, Warner Chappell, BMI - Broadcast Music Inc. Concord Music Publishing. Repercussion is very much of a piece with the debut, repeating much of the same formula that made Stands for Decibels great - terrific harmonies, winning melodies, and catchy hooks with subtle quirks thrown into the mix. This time, they feature a fuller, more polished sound, but the impact of the songs isn't diminished. Stamey left shortly after Repercussion to pursue a solo career. Album 1982 12 Songs. The dB's. A music blog about the great alt-pop group The dB's - celebrating the group, its members, and their dB's, an early-to-mid-80s southern jangle pop band from Winston-Salem via New York City, got more bad breaks than most. Poor record sales kept them from building an audience. Atop their two-guitar line-up, the dB's experiment with keyboards and effects, firing rounds of world class hooks at fans' feet and daring them not to pogo. And all this while retaining such a distinct sound unlike many guitar-pop bands of the time, the dB's preferred a live, unpolished sound to glossy 80s production. The dBs. Released January 1982.
