Let yourself be carried away just blend and Free Fall. A lot has been said about Lish since their excellent debut release Dejavoodo 2002. Since than this fine stallion has been focusing on extra polishing their unique blend of powerful, sweet and emotional progressive beats. Their second album Free Fall was released on March 2005 in Compact Records, and was a huge success. This original creation ranked Lish as one of the leaders in the global progressive trance scene, and the album has been chosen as the album of the year. One of Lish's biggest hit Fresh of their second album followed by a unique single Fresh - remixes - single malt was made for Dj's of all genres and included nine different remixes from chill out through progressive trance. Lish (Lior Maimon & Shay Tiab) from Israel is out with their second album, this time on Com.Pact Records. Lish is one of just a few Israeli trance groups who follow the more progressive side of psytrance.

The first track starts nice and floating, before a groovy, progressive beat sneaks in. A drifting track that should fit perfect for the morning. Track 2 goes quite floating too. Drifting, progressive morning trance. Track 3 is a stumping track. This one goes a little bit more towards full on, but keeps the progressive echoing soundscapes. Track 4 is a groovy, pumping track. We get some voice samples and a quite trippy vibe. Track 5 goes the same direction. Groovy, progressive trance, but not with a lot of variation, and most of these tracks sounds very much the same.

Track 6 is another stumping track. This one goes even more full on and builds up from beginning to end. We also get some more melodies in this one. In track 7, we get some female vocals. Quite housy vibes in there, but with groovy trance rhythms. Not exactly my style, but okay. Track 8 is surprisingly a relaxing chill out track. Quite melodic, with some beautiful sounds and vocals. Nice one. The last track on this album is a pretty full on, melodic track with a bit more commercial sound than the others.

This album stays somewhere between full on and progressive trance. I missed some more variation between the tracks here, but we get some nice, groovy, drifting tracks too. One of the better releases from Com.Pact lately.

Second album from Lish (Lior Maimon & Shay Taib), first to be released on Com.pact (beware first hours fans, here they're not providing their debut style made of night minimal prog like in their first album).

I don't feel the need to provide a track by track review/description as for me telling that it's a deep emotionnal morning album is the essential. The Slow Me Away remix is more full on compared to the original and as you can guess the other fast track (Time) is also sounding more full on. I will just add that Blue is a freestyle tune, a broken beat downtempo could i say.
I've forgotten something , there's a quite important lyrical part in Fresh, with some fx on the woman voice.

About my feeling about the musical result:

One of the very rare proof that israelian are also good at producing something else that full on,
is the Lish's album Free Fall for the morning prog style.
So like were saying the eurotrance band Dance 2 Trance nearly 15 years ago :
«You, you want new : travelling, fall into Trance… Take a Free Fall ».

Highlights : 1,2,3,8
recommended for all morning lovers
