Leo Anibaldi is back. Yesterday i listened the Ep at a friend house. for me is really cool, is true, is minimal influenced but this is where techno is going in these years. the minimal influnce is in all techno artists from 90 that still producing. the first track Feed1 for me is a good example of space techno, is a big trip and mental. Feed2 is ipnotic really minimal and cool, in particular on the break. Feed3 is Minimal Acid. in this track we can listen how Leo Anibaldi uses is Roland 303 it seems the machine speaking whit you. What about Pierguidi and his remix. for me is a good wedding between the old rythim and modern beat, it will be a great dancefloor bomb like the old one.

After fourteen years of silence (not counting the unreleased Abeja test press), here is one more Anibaldi production. Taking a spectacular u-turn from the earlier display of ballsy styles and programming, this one seems to follow the current trendy mnml scene more. Plastic sounds, loops that evolve so little that a locked groove might have been sufficient and a definite lack of atmosphere. What a disappointment! The most offending part is still the remix, though. Pierguidi builds a track of the similar, modern kind and throws in a recurrent snippet of the classic, adding reverb and other effects to it. The sounds of new and old do not marry very well at all, however, and the result might well induce cringing for most who know the original. In conclusion, the only good point about this record is that it will set facts right about Attack Random's proper title. Will those compilations stop calling the original Fanta Guitar, though? That remains to be seen.

Void (magnum opus/masterpiece) is the end of the (truly) great Anibaldi story.
