The album was dedicated to Jacques-Yves Cousteau and was released on his 80th birthday 11 June 1990. The album reached Number 14 in the UK charts. On this album Jean Michel Jarre works together with steel-drum percussionists from Trinidad, creating a remarkable if somewhat peculiar fusion between calypso and electronic music. I agree - the fourth track, 'Waiting For Cousteau' is brilliant - bought the album when it came out, was a MASSIVE Jarre fan before that, wasn't sure about the album first off, as it was a total direction change from his earlier works, however, 22 years on and i still play it, always head straight to track 4 though.
