Hack is an album by the freestyle synthpop band Information Society. The album sold quite well but did not outsell the band's first album. It is the only major-label-distributed title that has the modern Tommy Boy Records logo on it. The menacing car on the cover is Vector, Kurt Harland's heavily customized 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring. The cassette tape for this album used an unusual naming convention for the sides. Instead of 1 and 2 or A and B, there was the Gilligan Side and the Skipper Side. Hack - Information Society. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. The band released the more experimental Hack in 1990 although it contains a few tunes that are just as good as those on the debut, the album is marred considerably by repetition and excess. Think, the first single, became a minor hit single in 1990, with good reason the tune could have fit in quite well with the insanely catchy dance pop of the debut. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of tracks on Hack that show off Information Society's strengths. Information Society - Hack 1990. To favorites 0 Download album. Listen album. An 18 second sample of Seek 200 that demonstrates the harsher sound that was used on this album compared with the debut album. Problems playing this file See media help. Riding on the success of its self-titled major-label debut, Harland decided to have the band experiment on this album with a more radical, harsher sound

On Charlie X, the line "I could make you all go away, any time I want to." is a reference to the Star Trek episode of the same name.

"Fire Tonight" is the most nauseating song ever made; even if it were two minutes it would be too long. That, and the pointless instrumental interludes drag the album down terribly.

This is a great CD, but it is way over 74 minutes (one of the first releases I am aware of that pushed the 74-minute barrier), and thus, it fails to play all the way to the end on most older models of CD players. I actually had to extract the tracks and re-burn the album to a CDR in order to get it to play!

Incorrect. All editions are a little under 63 minutes, except the Japanese one, which is almost 70 minutes due to the bonus track. As noted in my other comment, I believe the problem is due to manufacturing defects.
